Computer Science
Aims of the Bachelor Program in Computer Science are: To provide graduates with solid theoretical and practical knowledge in fundamental and modern subfields of computer science, such as mathematical foundations of computer science, algorithms and data structures, computer systems and networks and their security, databases, software engineering, computer architecture, methods of artificial intelligence and machine learning, etc.; To enable graduates to respond to the challenges related to modern technology, prepare internationally competitive specialists who will be able to work in the private or public sector; To enable graduates to pursue studies at the next level of academic education in computer science, computer engineering, information sciences, artificial intelligence, and information technology.
The undergraduate program in Computer Science will prepare internationally competitive specialists. The knowledge and skills acquired by the graduates will enable them to respond to modern technology related challenges. Graduates will be able to be employed both the private and public sectors, where they perform professional functions both independently and in teams. In particular, they will be able to work as a software developers, software engineers, data analysts, information technology specialists, network administrators, etc. Graduates can also continue their studies at the next level of academic education in the direction of computer science, computer engineering, information science, artificial intelligence and information technologies.

Program structure: The program full volume is 240 credits, which includes: Academic writing -5 ECTS; Obligatory Computer Science Courses- 142 ECTS; Elective Computer Science Courses – 50 ECTS; Free (including extra specialty) Courses – 43 ECTS.

Computer Science
The purpose of the English-language Computer Science Master program is to raise highly qualified, locally and internationally competitive specialists who are compliant with industry-required standards. The program offers Master’s students well established research-based study program and provides thorough theoretical and practical knowledge through fundamental and innovative approaches, which are trending in nowadays computer science. Particularly, the offered Master’s Program focuses on giving students a deep understanding of courses from the following areas of computer science:
- Theoretical computer science
- Systems design and security
- Artificial intelligence
After successful completion of any above listed areas, Master’s students will obtain the knowledge and will be able to be competent in analysis, problem solving, and implementation. Program will master students and deepen the skills required for searching and preparing technical documentation. Also program will prepare Master students to pursue studies at the next level of academic education in computer science, computer engineering, information sciences, artificial intelligence, and information technology.
The Master of Science program in Computer Science will prepare internationally competitive specialists. Our mission is to supply the people and ideas that will shape this new frontier.
Over the years, we have developed and strengthened our teaching in disciplines such as artificial intelligence, theoretical computer science, systems design and security. The doctoral program is designed to take into account the individual student’s interest, which means that during the doctoral studies, the student must make an outstanding and significant contribution to the study and development of at least one area.

Management and Information Technologies
The internationally accredited double degree Master’s Program “Management and Information Technologies” offers unique opportunities for future Master’s Students. This educational program has been established as a result of an international partnership with the Zwickau University of Applied Sciences (WHZ – Germany) and 4 partner Universities from the countries of Asia and the South Caucasus. Partner universities are the International Black Sea University (IBSU), Kazakh-American Free University (KAFU), Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE), and Kyrgyz-German Institute of Applied Informatics (INAI.KG).
This study program aims to enable students to connect their professional competencies with computer sciences, business information systems, management and business administration knowledge. Furthermore, the study program encourages students to develop intercultural skills. In this way, the partners meet the challenges arising from globalization, and the growing global demand for well-trained, highly qualified graduates with international experience and intercultural skills, in the domestic and international labor market.
Educational Program “Management and Information Technologies” is accredited by the the Accreditation Agency for Study Programmes in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics – ASIIN (Germany) and recognized by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement – EQE (Georgia).
The following enrolment conditions for the joint Master’s study program “Management and Computer Science” is fulfilled and monitored by the agreement between partner universities:
A first university degree in the fields of Computer Science, Information Technologies, Management, Business Administration, International Relations, Language Science or related fields
The candidate must successfully pass the general Master’s Exam
The candidate must successfully the B2 level English language intra-university exam
The candidate must successfully pass the interview, which examines the applicant’s motivation, proficiency in the language of instruction of the program (English at least B2 level) and a good basic knowledge of fundamental topics related to business administration and computer science
